Did you know that certain sun signs were more prone to accidents? A British based accident and insurance management company called VELO provided statistics on the subject. They had data on 25,000 claims made in 1996 including dates of births of drivers involved. So, when it cam to traffic accidents there was obvious deviations from actual values and mathematical expectations.Does that make Scorpions the best drivers or Taurans the lousiest drivers?
Allen Back conducted 20000 interviews of representative samples of above 14 yrs of age and collected their birthdays. They conduct survey twice a year once in autumn and in winter. They later applied laws of probability with huge statistical base. There were no references to astrology which might influence the respondents.
The study is important because for the first time astrology has scientific support based on statistics. The surveys asked, what car they owned, how many kilometers they drove each year and their Driving License details. In people of 14 + age group it was noticed that instead of 64.7%, 69.1% Pisces had driven Cars in the last six months, which was 7% above the mathematical expectation. The largest no of car drivers are Virgos, but they had the least knowledge of cars. Scorpion’s frequently drove more than 20000km per year and Sagittarian’s were significantly most likely to drive less than 10000 KM annually. Capricorns preferred vehicles with high horse power engines.

They also studied co relation between star signs and driving behaviors. Accidents – German and Swift Insurance companies refused to share data’s worried that star signs with significantly lower accident rates might turn around and demand lower premiums.
They came to the conclusion that Taurus and Virgo were significantly more often involved in traffic accidents than other star signs. Leo’s and Scorpios have significantly lower traffic accidents. Taurus’ and Virgo’s in Britain caused more damage to the cars. Leo’s and Scorpios appeared to be best drivers as they had significantly lower damage claims. Sagittarius was more significantly involved in car thefts. Pisces was significantly higher in driving without licenses and hit and run cases. But one fact could not be verifies statistically: ‘when a man opens the door for a woman, either the woman or the car is new.’
